Welcome to Stevens F. Johnson's
Summer 2003 NRAO Socorro Chautauqua Gallery
During July 22 through July 25, 2003, I participated in a Chautauqua Seminar
at the Socorro, New Mexico, site of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory.
Almost all of the attendees were Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Engineering,
or Biology college professors from all across the United States. Several of us had
participated in the earlier Chatauqua seminar at the NRAO facilities in Green Bank,
West Virginia. The purpose of the seminar was to familiarize us with the engineering
and experimental techniques of Radio Astronomy observing as well as some recent results.
