Welcome to Stevens F. Johnson's
Summer 2003 NRAO Green Bank Chautauqua Gallery
During May 27 through May 29, 2003, I participated in a Chautauqua Seminar
at the Green Bank, West Virginia, site of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory.
All but one of the eighteen attendees were Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Engineering,
or Biology college professors from the United States, mostly from the Eastern Seaboard.
The purpose of the seminar was to familiarize us with the engineering and experimental
techniques of Radio Astronomy observing as well as some recent results. Along the
way, teams of us worked with the "old forty footer" dish on individual projects.

to use and distribute the photographs of this gallery subject to fair and reasonable
